Speculation might be rife among political columnists and party leaders, but there weren't too many people in Guelph this weekend who wanted to weigh in on whether Green party Leader Elizabeth May should run for a seat in Guelph during the next federal election.
"I'm focused on the issues affecting my constituents, and there's a lot affecting us," said Frank Valeriote, Guelph's Liberal MP. "Worrying about something that might never happen takes energy. I'd rather expend my energy on things that matter."
Valeriote said he's hearing what matters to Guelph residents are unemployment, taxes, immigration issues and the environment.
