About Frank
Valeriote has a taste of boot camp

This was no summer camp, no game of paint ball, and no war game.

“Definitely not,” said Guelph MP Frank Valeriote as he recounted his three days of army training in Wainwright, Alberta last week.

“It was an eye-opener for me. It’s not an easy life in the military. You understand that better when you walk in their shoes for a while.”

Valeriote took advantage of a program offered to Members of Parliament and attended the training camp, where he trained and “fought” alongside full-time soldiers and army reservists.
